Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor exactly what i need
I have a 20-month-old boy who loves to break things, so I have to take all my gaming consoles out fo the living room and into the study, where my PC is. So I thought it would be nice to get a LCD monitor with component input for my old consoles, as well as HDMI for potential new consoles. After lots of research I picked the T220HD, because it also comes with digital tuner. I am very happy with the choice because it is exactly what I thought it would be. it's very versatile and display everything well, and I am especially impressed with the digital tuner which picks up all the network OTA HD broadcast using a cheap indoor Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor antenna, when my PCI tuner card (Avermedia A180) could pick up 2 or 3 using the same antenna in the same position. It's not perfect, however.
What's to like:
- Component input allows connecting older devices without HDMI. Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor
- 2 HDMI ports
- Input source button cycles through only ports that are plugged in.
- digital TV tuner is excellent.
- Build in speaker/headphone jack/audio out port. Speakers are not great, but having them means you don't need extra adaptors to capture the audio from HDMI/component devices.
- Remote control. OSD navigation is so much easier and more intuitive with it. And this is really useful when turning Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor unit on/off, making this a true LCD TV.
- Has 16:9 aspect ratio option so that pictures don't have to be stretched to full screen.
- Unit is very light, only 13 lb.
- Picture is bright and clear, no dead pixel for me.
- Screen is matte, not glossy.
What's really annoying to me: Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor
- Unit is light because base is mostly plastic, not very rigid.
- touch sensitive power on/off button. Everything else is tactile and on the side of the monitor, except for power. turning the unit on/off using this button usually requires several presses. Might that be that big of an issue if the unit is not so light and stand so flimsy, I have to grab the whole Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor bottom edge when I try to turn it on this way. Good thing there's the remote.
- My unit has quite a bit of backlight bleed at the center of top and bottom edge. Hard to see when using DVI Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor input, but when viewing HDTV, with the black bars on top and bottom to get the correct 16:9 aspect ratio, the bleeding is obvious.
What are the missing features which I don't Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor care much about:
- the stand is basic, no height adjustment, no portrait mode
- no PIP Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor
- can't be mounted to the wall
- Cannot customize the individual RGB color tone when in DVI mode. Can only select between one of the 3 presets (warm, normal, cool).
Other nitpicks:
- monitor frame has piano finish (glossy),Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor including the inner side which reflects what's on screen. Kind of annoying , and maybe makes backlight bleeding seem worse than it really is.
- most of the connection ports are on the back of the unit facing back. While this makes the ports easier to see than a lot of other models that has the ports on the bottom facing down, it also makes insertion of wires, especially the component video ones, harder becasue you are pushing/applying force perpendicular to the LCD panel. You don't want to put your other hand on the LCD screen, but if you don't, then you really can't get a good push.
It' a great TV/Monitor and is wall mountable Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor
There seems to be some confusion whether or not the T220HD can be wall mounted. Granted it does not have the VESA holes but SamsungParts has Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor a wall mount adapter WMB1900T 19-22 VESA 100X100 bracket. Why Amazon doesn't show this item as an accessory for the T220/T220HD I don't know. As far as Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor T220HD goes it has all the bells and whistles you need the only thing i think is missing is a USB hub Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor. This link should get you to the bracket. Wall Mount Bracket 19-22"
Great TV
This TV basically blew me Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor away at the store. I was there to buy a 26" vizio or sharp aquos and ended up with a cheaper and much better Samsung T220HD Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor. The picture, while smaller, was darker, clearer and crisper than the others and I felt like the better deal was this tv over the larger ones. I use this in the bedroom so the size was less of a concern but overall a great tv.

Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color I was undecided between this 2009 model and last year's LN40A550.
The features are substantially identical, but after figuring that the difference between best prices for the Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV , which I could find after extensive shopping around, was only $50, I went for newer one for its updated look and lighter weight.
In the reviews, one of the principal complaints for 2008 was the sound quality. I can't directly compare 2009 and 2008, but found 2009's LN40B550 to have perfectly adequate, if not excellent speakers, as far as TVs go.
Picture quality, menus, setup Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV are excellent as expected.
One aspect that I did find puzzling is Wiselink not being able to recognize my old trustworthy USB Flash Drive. I even tried formatting the drive in various ways, unfortunately none of the tricks worked.Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV
Perhaps, it's the ancient drive not being comparable in some way, but it had never let me down before. Anyhow, I ordered a few different flash drives, and will try again, and then post an update.
====================================
Tried four various flash drives, Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV all of them work just fine in computers, all four freshly formatted same way (FAT32). Two of the drives are read by the TV with no problems, the two others are not recognized at all... Go figure... The slideshow functionality is nice, quite limited, but does the job.
Just for the reference, one of the drives that does work in this TV is Kingston Data Traveler 4GB.
Very, Very Pleased!
Only the second night with this set and I can't unglue myself from it. This is a great sub-$1,000 set Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV that will please all but the most hardcore videophiles. This set is also very light, I tucked it under my arm to move it up and down the stairs. ToC is subtle, almost invisible, so those who don't care for last year's ToC, don't worry, you can barely see it the color on this TV. The swivel stand makes it easy so access the rear of the TV to hook up the cables that it makes you wonder why other manufacturers make stands without the swivel feature.
I had originally purchased an LG, but the Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV off-angle viewing was awful, but from the same seating position, the Sammy shines. As with all LCDs, some color is lost when viewing from off-angle, but this set always displayed a picture that was acceptable.
If there's a weakness, it's displaying standard definition, as in regular cable, but that's a challenge Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV shared by most LCD screens. SD does not look as good as I've seen on some other LCDs, but the picture is more than acceptable.
DVD's showed great... Upconverted DVD even better, I was impressed... Blu ray blew my mind. The color depth, the dark blacks, the crisp picture... I was VERY pleased. I am sure you will be too!

Update 07/13/09... Almost 3 months and I'm still happy. Had Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV it hooked up to a Samsung BDP2550 bluray player and it's awesome. Currently using the upconverting Samsung 1080P9 DVD player and it's still awesome. I have to sit closer than 7 feet to see any difference between DVD and bluray. Also connected to my PC via an 18ft HDMI cable, streaming Netflix and using Windows Media Center to view the NCIS and Star Trek episodes I have on my hard drive.
Still a GREAT purchase and I recommend this set to anyone interested in a 1080p LCD.

Update 10/31/09... Hooked up a PS3 Slim last month and started viewing movies on Bluray... it's like I got a new TV! I've never been able to see a substantial difference between DVD and BD, but after a few months of just DVD, Bluray on my 40B550 is blowing me away once more! I think I just picked up another habit... no more DVD purchases, Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV only Bluray. And with prices going down on flat screens, this set is a bargain at $849.
Disappointing at best
Well, had the LN40B550 foracouple of days, and Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV must say was very diappointed with the picture quality. I did some more research outside of Amazon, and found this thread on AVSForum (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1126988&page=6), where many other users are experiencing the same picture quality issues, mostly blurring and ghosting (using digital cox cable with component connection). HD content looks good, but still grainy for some Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV reason. Also, many other users has had requested technicians to come out and see if they can make any repairs, with most of them replacing the screen itself. But does not quite the fix the problem. My Vizio 32" LCD seems more crisper than this TV. I even upgraded the firmware, and adjusted the pitcure settings, but I'm just not satisfied with this TV. I will be returning it, and shop for another TV. Hope this helps.

LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss Black
Okay, but not great
I purchased this TV from Amazon supplier Tiger Direct based on Amazon reviews in early November 2009. We have a two year old 32" Samsung HD LCD TV that we were moving to another room and the LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss Black
LG TV was purchased to replace to older TV. My wife and I both found the quality of the picture to be inferior to the Samsung. Moreover, the biggest problem with the LG TV was the deterioration in picture quality with viewing angle. LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss Black
also seemed to have a slight problem keeping audio and video in sync on a few programs, somthing we had not noted in our other TVs (we have four flat panel TVs in all - only one is HD) Given the room we planned to place it in required a wide viewing angle, we returned the TV.
Excellent Economy LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss Black
The LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss BlackLG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p replaced a 720p 32 inch Samsung which I returned because of erratic sound quality. The LG provides a very clear picture for upscaled DVD movies and over the air digital signals. The speakers provide excellent sound for a small living room although the addition of a home theater system would substantially increase movie enjoyment. Standard definition signals also reproduce a stable clear picture. Colors are very good and the set provides sufficient tools to tweak the picture for personal preference. I have not used LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss Black
for bluray as yet but HD from satellite is very good. The features of this unit described on the Amazon specifications list accurately describe its features and can be relied upon. I am not a hard core cinema/video buff but I cannot imagine that this unit will not satisfy most viewers who want a well priced midsized flat screen high definition TV. My five stars are based upon what I expect in similarly designed and priced units for a smaller room.
GO TO STORE LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss Black
LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player Decent picture, not the best sound, noisy DVD
I purchased the 32LG40 last Sunday. I really wanted a HDTV/DVD combo, and this looked pretty good in the store. It shipped quick (Tuesday), but I didn't have time to set it up until Saturday. The LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player picture is acceptable, but the sound can be buzzy and tinny on some cable stations. My big problem is with the DVD player. First, its pretty noisy. Second, it sends feedback through the LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player speakers. It's loud enough to be distracting when watching a movie. I can't believe that it is supposed to operate like this. I contacted LG's service department and they told me to contact a local LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player repair shop to see if it can be repaired under warranty. I hope it can be repaired, but I'm afraid I'm going to hear, "that's just the way it is".
BUYER BEWARE
The two stars are for the acceptable picture. The LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player non HD channels are not too sharp. A lot of pixalation with action movies. The DVD player is VERY noisy and if you turn up the volume you can hear the noise through the speakers. The LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player hasn't got much volume so you have to really turn it up to play a movie and with volume comes more noise from the DVD player.I have the DVD audio hooked up to a surround amp and the speakers pick up the LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player motor noise. It sounds like some kind of a ground problem inside the unit. I also see a tiny red laser like dot in the screen on all channels that I suspect is a bad pixel. Needless to say, I am sending it back.
great product for the price
This is exactly what it says it is. Good looking tv. The DVD is great. It is easy to switch back and forth. I read about the noice issue with the DVD but I haven't yet noticed it. For those without cable or dish, this tv hooks up to a regular old antennae without a problem. Good for those to make the LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player switch to digital without multiple remote controls or other hookup problems.

Picture quality on this tv is excellent (it has an IPS panel), black levels are impressive, color is vibrant. LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV And you can tweak the picture to your likeing with a ton of various options. Took me a while to get the picture quality just right for gaming, HD content and SD content. SD tv actually looks pretty good on this tv LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV, suprisingly sharp picture quality on it. Though this being a LCD tv the picture isn't crystal clear, in darker areas you can see some obvious blurring or trailing (but only if you really want to notice, and its not as bad as the latest Samsung), LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV in brighter areas blurring is not noticeable at all (in Modern Warfare 2 for example darker wood textures you can see the blur when moving, on brighter wall textures there is no blur).
LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV Speakers are decent, not going to blow you away with the sound but they aren't complete crap either. Like the picture - sound also has various tweaking options.
Remote is pretty standard, doesn't look cheap and doesn't go overboard with the options. But is has everything you'd accept to be on LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV.
Also has a headphone jack (and unlike Samsungs you can control the LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV volume of the headphone jack with your remote).
You can also display pictures or play music with a usb stick, I don't think I'll be using this feature. Would've been nice if it allowed you to play videos from the usb stick...but they only have that feature on their higher end models.
One problem is that if you switch the input to hdmi and then go back to AV or TV input...there is no sound. LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV You have the turn off the tv and turn is back again to get the sound back.

Making a case for LG; amazing tv.LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV
LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV does'nt get enough praise.
Just bought this TV LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV for the sake of it being an IPS panel and for its apparent adjustability (and also 1080p). Plus this tv is so easy to calibrate; the 'picture wizard' is extremely helpful.
The amount of menu options is jaw-dropping, as is the style of the set. The LH40 model looks neat with the plastic square along the bottom of the panel, but I like the more minimalist look of the LH30, and I do not like the 120hz or the $100 price jump of the LH40.
I made a comparison to my sony 32M4000 (which I have now given to my father) and there are some interesting differences (many are polar opposites):
-The sound is far superior on the LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.
-Black levels are very close, sony's is a bit deeper and maintains black colors better at angles.
-The whiteness of whites is slightly better on the sony, but colors and mid tones definitely have more of a 'punchy' factor on the LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.
-Color is amazing; rich and saturated; best ive seen on any LCD, period.
-Color does not wash out at all from different angles, only very dark colors and black tend to become discolored (blue or red depending on the angle).
-Of course there are far, far fewer picture options on the sony.
-My sony has a ghosting problem with dark colors, not so on the LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV; motion blur and lag is also reduced too.
-OTA HD channels look decent enough, not as sharp as the sony, but the better color makes up for it imo.
What was the main factor that made me get this LG?..its S-IPS panel.
Samsung is an excellent maker of lcds, but I steered clear of them this time, as buying a tv from them is like playing the lottery. They use 3 different panels with differing levels of color and contrast quality; you are not essentially getting what you pay for:
You may get Samsung's own S-PVA panel, the best quality (if you're lucky).
An A-MVA panel from Taiwan's AUO (a notch worse than S-PVA).
Chinese company Chi Mei's S-MVA panel (worst of the three).
Panasonics IPS Alpha panels are decent, but on some panels dark colors appear far too blue from different angles.
That narrows it down to LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV's S-IPS panel; its color saturation, vividness, and response time are worth the slight sacrifice in contrast and black depth (at least in my opinion).
This tv is not perfect, however; I spotted 3 dead pixels right out of the box (2 bright, 1 dark), right around the middle of the screen. They are practically invisible without being a foot from the screen and looking hard for them, however.
Viewing angles demonstrate some darkening of the picture, but its not too bothersome (swivel stand helps).
No other flaws I can think of at the moment, I recommend this LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV!
My calibration settings use color adjustments from cnet.com along with some of my own tweaks, try them out!

LG 32" Store LG 32LD450 32-Inch 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV This is a better than average TV. It's much better than my last LCD TV. It has a nice matte finish for the viewing area and a glossy black border with a clear accent.
